Hindle’s a hit without horse shoes
Published on July 2nd, 2012

We were interested to see this picture in Horse and Hound magazine recently, showing dressage rider Emma Hindle competing one of her top horses, Diamond Hit, barefoot.
Emma has often been quoted as saying her horses’ stride and elevation had improved since taking them barefoot, but since she has been focussing on family commitments, her public profile has been lower, and it has been unclear whether she was still embracing this form of management. However, her horse was clearly pictured at Wuiesbaden in Germany, where Emma was named as the leading female dressage rider, without shoes.
It is so encouraging to see one of the world’s leading riders advocating the natural approach to hoofcare!
